3 Predictions for Michigan Basketball against Ball State
Who wins?
As far as predictions go, the first one against Bowling Green was solid but against Oakland, I was way off, along with everyone else.
However, the thing I have been wrong about the most this season is Franz Wagner, who is 0-of-6 from 3-point range and has scored just 15 points in two games.

I really felt like Wagner was due to rebound against Oakland and with their zone defense, I thought he would take advantage and knock down some perimeter shots. As it happened, he only took two and missed them both. He attempted five shots all game.
Against Ball State, Wagner simply has to play a bigger role offensively and for this team to have a chance at reaching its ceiling, he has to start scoring the basketball and tonight, I feel like he will find a way to reach double figures.
Yet, if the Cardinals can force their tempo on the Wolverines, muck it up and keep the game in the 60s as Oakland was able to do, they could have a chance. This won’t be easy by any means and the Wolverines will have to play well to win convincingly.
Offensive rebounding will be a key and 3-point shooting could really make the difference. Michigan basketball should win both of those battles and therefore, it should in the game. And after a poor showing the other night, I also think they’ll play well enough to cover — just barely.
Final score: Michigan 84, Ball State 68
