Michigan Football: 5 Predictions for Wolverines against Penn State
Penn State will score
It might be easy to look at 0-5 Penn State and think they aren’t a very good team, but as bad as things have gone this season, the Nittany Lions are more than capable of winning this game.
Sean Clifford was a Heisman favorite at the start of the season, but he has thrown eight interceptions compared to 11 touchdowns. Levis hasn’t thrown any touchdowns or interceptions, but also adds more in the running game as has shown.
There’s a chance we could see both quarterbacks in this game and whoever plays, the Nittany Lions will find a way to move the football.
Penn State is still fourth in the Big Ten in total offense, averaging 418 yards per game. Michigan football is also ranked 10th in total defense and we all know the Wolverines struggle with running QBs and last week they made Noah Vedral look like a superstar.
Michigan also comes into this game as just a two-point favorite, which is pretty low for a home team and the defense is the reason why. It nearly lost the game against Rutgers last week and if Michigan loses Saturday, it will be due to Don Brown’s unit again.
