Tariq Castro-Fields

Season Stats: 12 tackles, 1 pass defended

The lockdown corner has only played in three games thus far and has missed the last two as game-time decisions. Because of that, I expect him to be back on the field this Saturday against the Wolverines.

In his limited action this season he has been very good and has improved each week as well. After allowing 42 yards in his coverage against Indiana he brought that down to just 17 yards against Ohio State’s deep and talented wide receiving corps.

The following week he gave up 30 yards against Maryland but he logged his lone PBU of the year and allowed his lowest completion percentage of the season at 50%.

You may remember Tariq Castro-Fields from last year’s matchup in Happy Valley as he picked off Shea Patterson in the second quarter of that game.

With 3 interceptions and 19 pass breakups so far in his career, the senior can not be taken lightly when the Wolverines throw the ball downfield on Saturday.
