The Michigan football team is looking to snap a two-game losing streak when they host Wisconsin on Saturday night. What do they need to do to pull off the upset?

Most Michigan football fans would like to forget about the last two weeks. The Michigan State game was a disaster and while Indiana is a very good team this year, the Wolverines still did not play well.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t get any easier this week as the Wolverines welcome to town the 13th ranked Wisconsin Badgers.

The only bright side is that the Badgers haven’t played in three weeks due to COVID and might be rusty. The bright side is not that they had an outbreak, we don’t wish that on anybody but the fact that they haven’t played in so long. It doesn’t matter how good of a team you are, when you have that big of a break it takes a while to get back into rhythm.

The Badgers, though, looked great in their only game this year, as they dismantled an Illinois team that upset them last year. Quarterback Graham Mertz was nearly perfect in that game, throwing only one incompletion in his first career start.

It will be interesting to see who plays quarterback for the Badgers as Jack Coan is out with an injury and Mertz and his backup have both tested positive for COVID. According to Big Ten protocols, they would have to sit out 21 days and that time has not elapsed yet.

With that problem for the Badgers, they will probably try to lean heavily on the running game and that would benefit Michigan. But then again if they have watched the last two games, they probably feel that any of their quarterbacks could attack the Wolverine secondary with success.

Michigan football has a lot of things to correct and they need to do it quickly or this season could really spiral out of control. But first things first, they need to try and stay unbeaten in night games at the Big House and upset Wisconsin before they worry about anything else.

It hasn’t looked good the last two weeks, but can the Wolverines do to pick up a huge win? We take a look at three keys to pull off the upset.
