Michigan football faces a critical showdown on the road at Indiana Saturday and here are three seasons why the Wolverines will win and one why they won’t.

It feels like ages since Michigan football played Michigan State, probably because that torture fest isn’t something we will soon forget, followed by the drawn-out election.

The good news, though, is that Michigan football will be back on the field in just two days about 48 hours from now and after a tough week for fans, coaches and players, that’s always the best remedy.

Well, I shouldn’t say always, because if things go south in Bloomington, the criticism and the calls for head coach Jim Haraugh to go will only get louder and I don’t think anyone wants another week of Michigan twitter after a loss.

It already feels weird that Indiana is a must-win game, although if Michigan was going to be a Big Ten contender, every game is important, especially since Ohio State seems invincible.

Despite last week and the fact that the Michigan football will come in as the lower-ranked team at No. 23 compared to No. 13 Indiana, the Wolverines are the favorite, which is a good sign since Jim Harbaugh has never won a game as Micihgan head coach when not favored.

Tom Allen, the Hoosiers head coach has his program on the rise and two weeks ago, nabbed a signature win over Penn State, as Indiana won that game in double overtime before knocking off Rutgers last week.

Will Indiana gets its first win against Michigan since 1987? Here are three reasons why that won’t happen and one reason why it will.
