5 Predictions for Michigan Football against Michigan State
Going to be a long day for Rocky Lombardi
While Minnesota scored 24 points last week, the defense still did some impressive things and one of them was notching five sacks.
Last week, Michigan State allowed three sacks to Rutgers and was barely able to establish any sort of running game, so winning this game will be on Lombardi’s shoulders offensively.
He did throw for over 300 yards last week and three touchdowns, but he also had two interceptions and let’s face it, the Rutgers defense and Michigan’s are worlds apart.
Aidan Hutchinson and Kwity Paye are two of the best pass-rushing defensive ends in the Big Ten and Hutchinson didn’t notch a sack a week ago, so this week, I think he’ll make up for that.
Harbaugh also said Daxton Hill is expected to play in this game, so watch out for some blitzes with him and viper Michael Barrett, who was all over the place a week ago.
The bottom line is Michigan should get to Lombardi early and often, which will lead to mistakes and a long day for the MSU offense.
