3 Biggest questions for Michigan Basketball heading into 2020-21

We are just over five weeks away from the start of the new Michigan basketball season. The Wolverines have the talent to be a contender, but with the start of every new season comes new question marks and concerns.
Long time leaders Xavier Simpson and Jon Teske are gone. Cole Bajema, Colin Castleton, and David DeJulius transferred out of the program, and Michigan basketball will welcome in six new additions to the team this year.
With that much roster turnover, there will be growing pains and questions to be answered.
Here are Michigan’s roster changes from last year.

Xavier Simpson: Graduated
Jon Teske: Graduated
Cole Bajema: Transferred to Washington
David DeJulius: Transferred to Cincinnati
Colin Castleton: Transferred to Florida
Roster Additions
Mike Smith: Transferred from Columbia
Chaundee Brown: Transferred from Wake Forest
Hunter Dickinson: Freshman
Terrance Williams: Freshman
Zeb Jackson: Freshman
Jace Howard: Freshman
This is only year two of the Juwan Howard era but it’s a very important one. Michigan basketball will get the chance to prove that year one was a bit of a fluke and despite a bunch of newcomers, Isaiah Livers and Franz Wagner are ready to lead and take this team to another level.
If Michigan expects to be near the top of the Big Ten standings come March, they will have to fit in all of these new pieces and get a ton of production from the veterans on this team.
