Michigan is absolutely loaded at running back

Looking back at last season, one of the pleasant surprises was the development of the running game with Zach Charbonnet and Hassan Haskins.

Yet, as good as Charbonnet was last season, he was never really healthy and it showed. In the bowl game against Alabama, he was as good as he was all last season and that’s the back I expect to see going forward in 2020.

Charbonnet was a top-50 recruit and he is going to be a star. But he won’t be the only standout in the backfield. Haskins will still be a nice presence, however, Chris Evans, who missed last year due to academics, could really shine in Josh Gattis’ offensive system too.

In addition to Charbonnet, Haskins and Evans, freshman Blake Corum has also been impressive and ripped off a big run the other day. He will contribute this season too and that’s why it’s easy to call his the best running back group Michigan has had in years.
