The Michigan football team will only play conference games this year and it has us missing the non-conference schedule. So who should the Wolverines schedule in the future?

Michigan football will start its season this year on October 24th when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers. While that should be a great game and we should be happy they are playing football, the Wolverines were supposed to start with a marquee matchup with Washington the first weekend in September.

It was a game many fans were looking forward to as they rarely get to see the Wolverines take on the Huskies. They have had some battles in the Rose Bowl, but to see them the first game of the year was something to get excited about.

The Huskies are scheduled to make a trip to Ann Arbor next year and in years to come, the Wolverines have Texas and Oklahoma on the schedule in home and home series. Those should be fun as they are two teams we don’t get to see often. Add in Notre Dame at the end of the decade and Michigan is doing a good job of getting Power 5 schools on their non-conference schedule.

But even with those games coming up, there are still some teams we would love to see the Wolverines play. Teams that Michigan has rarely if ever played and would be great to see come to Ann Arbor.

So which teams should the Wolverines schedule? We take a look at three teams Michigan needs to schedule and do it soon. Don’t worry Florida is not on this list.
