Michigan Football: Key takeaways on Wolverines recruiting this week
More on class of 2022
Not long after Michigan football nabbed a commitment from Klein on Tuesday, another 2022 tight end was given a crystal ball to U-M and that’s three-star recruit Oscar Delp.
Delp was given the crystal ball by Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider who placed it with a confidence level of six out of 10.
Here’s a key quote from Webb’s article: “Delp made it clear that even with the rush of Power Five offers this month, “Michigan definitely sticks out.”
The 2022 tight end isn’t rated yet but the Wolverines want to take two tight ends, so it sounds like there’s a good chance they would take both Klein and Delp, who is a 6-foot-5, 220 pounds.
Finally, a last bit of news came on Saturday, as four-star running back in 2022, Arlen Harris Jr., put out a top six list, which included the Wolverines.
Harris is just one of many Michigan targets in 2022 at running back, however, the Missouri prospect seems to be leaning towards Iowa. He has a crystal ball projection to the Hawkeyes and spoke glowingly about Iowa in an interview with 247 sports ($) Saturday.
"“Iowa was one of the first schools that took a chance on me at a young age and follows through. I can see myself at Iowa and I love everything about the school from top to bottom. I have already learned so much about running back from Coach Foster and we talk about life & share so many similarities.”"
Harris said that he wanted to make a decision after his junior season, so it sounds like he could make a call in the coming months.
I do think Michigan has a chance here if they make a push. There is just a lot to shake out with regards to the running back board in 2022.
