Michigan football will kick off its 2020 season Oct. 24 and here are five bold predictions for the Wolverines.

Believe it or not, we are barely over a month away from Michigan football taking the field at Minnesota for the first game of the 2020 season.

Teams will start practicing in earnest by the end of the month. Michigan has been working out, but the next few weeks will give us a real fall camp as position battles are settled and the two-deep is finalized.

Ever since the Big Ten announced its return to football, which will start Oct. 23/24 and will be a nine-game season ending December 19 with championship week, the news has been constant.

The top teams in the East and West will meet for the Big Ten championship, while the other teams will square off too. For instance, the second-place team in the West will play the second-place team from the East and on down the line.

While there is plenty of excitement for the start of the season, Michigan football is also having to deal with multiple departures.

Nico Collins and Ambry Thomas have both declared for the NFL draft and even though Jalen Mayfield decided to return, those guys appear to be staying.

Quarterback Dylan McCaffrey also opted out and intends to transfer after losing the starting quarterback job to redshirt sophomore Joe Milton.

Milton is the talk of the Michigan football world right now and we’ll start with a look at his first campaign as the starting point for our predictions.
