In the first week’s edition of last week in review: Intriguing offers, Michigan basketball receives predictions and more.

At the beginning of the week, I’m going to cover the past seven days of Michigan basketball news. I know how much time it takes to keep up with high school kids interested in the program, offers, predictions, and what’s happening inside Crisler.

So instead of refreshing Twitter every minute, take a break and check out GBMWolverine as soon as you kick off your workweek.

Here’s the latest.

The Wolverines have been conducting workouts around campus, ranging from running grass hills to exhausting Camp Sanderson workouts. You can check them out by watching the videos below.

Jake Weingarten from Stockrisers is reporting he spoke with Donovan Clingan, a 7-foot-1 top 40 2022 center from Bristol Central in Connecticut, who said Michigan basketball is one of the teams that has reached out to him, but they didn’t extend an offer (yet).

The five is a position of need going forward, and the four-star giant seems perfect for the position. During his freshman year, Clingan averaged 23 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocks per game.

Jace Howard is going to be wearing a number very familiar to him and to Michigan fans who enjoy a bit of history.

"A Family Legacy “Wearing #25 has been something I have wanted for a long time. Getting my dad’s blessing made it truly an amazing moment for both of us & our family. He made #25 an iconic number at Michigan & I will wear it with pride every day” — Jace Howard"

Someone was listening to that assistant coach who has been traveling the country for two months straight, watching high school basketball with hopes of one day returning home to his family.

To streamline recruiting and help out that struggling assistant, national powerhouses were built all over the country. For the blue bloods, there isn’t a need to attend your average high school competition when you know you could fly down to Bradenton, Florida, and watch 15 five-star athletes duke it out for the afternoon.

While the Wolverines have expanded their reach past the powerhouses, they have been heavily targeting the kids on one of those prominent programs: IMG Academy.
