Notre Dame

This was a combination of Notre Dame not wanting to play in the pouring rain and Michigan taking their frustration out on someone.

Brian Kelly’s outlook on thew sidelines said it all. The Irish were in the wrong place at the wrong time. It felt like satisfying retribution for the week prior in State College.

Shea Patterson didn’t have to do much, but his play spoke volumes.

Hassan Haskins, helped by his overpowering offensive line, pushed the needle in Michigan’s ground game by a wide margin.

He managed to rumble for a buck shy of 150 and terrorized Notre Dame’s vaunted defense. It was what the maize and blue were touted to play like at the beginning of the season.

On the other side of the rock, Don Brown’s defense dominated from the initial snap.

The Wolverines held the Irish to under 200 yards of offense. Defenders routinely rattled Ian Book‘s timing while executing with their all-around best effort that they had put forth all year long. Michigan finally played like many believed they were capable of doing.
