Army

Who would have thought that Army’s Black Knights would have made this list? They gave everything Michigan asked for and then some.

By nearly stealing the spotlight in overtime, things appeared bleak in a hurry for the rest of the docket. It was one of the most nerve-wracking experiences ever watching a Michigan football squad against an inferior opponent.

Kelvin Hopkins Jr. spearheaded their relentless rushing attack. Army was on top at the break but was eventually held scoreless until overtime came around.

There was also a critical turnover that wasn’t reviewed that could have changed the entire landscape of the contest had it been called correctly on the field in the first place.

On a positive note for the Wolverines, Zach Charbonnet broke out for his first career 100-yard performance. He found the endzone three times on the afternoon as well.

When all was said and done though the defense put the outcome to rest with a sack by Aidan Hutchinson to seal the narrow victory no one saw coming in double overtime.
