Michigan Football: Revised game-by-game predictions for Wolverines
Michigan football got its new 2020 schedule on Wednesday and here’s a game-by-game prediction for the Wolverines.
Just because the new Big Ten schedule was released Wednesday, doesn’t mean that we are guaranteed to see some Michigan football this season.
With the way things are going, nothing is a guarantee. But it was a step in the right direction and with teams expected to report for fall camp Friday, for now at least, the season is on.
The new schedule was quite interesting too. While the opponents stayed the same, with the exception of Northwestern, which was added as the 10th opponent, things are drastically different.
Michigan football is opening and closing the season against different opponents and for the first time since 1998, the Wolverines will close their regular season against someone other than Ohio State.
Michigan State will also travel to Ann Arbor for a second straight season, while the Wolverines will, in return, make another trip to Indiana, the week before an October 24th game in Columbus.
Before everything changed and the Big Ten decided to go to just a conference-only schedule, I took a stab at game-by-game predictions and ended up with the Wolverines at 10-2.
The losses I had were at Minnesota and Ohio State. But now things are also different. Road games won’t have the same feel but neither will games at the Big House.
At any rate, this schedule feels a little more favorable, and with that in mind, here are game-by-game predictions for Michigan’s revised 2020 schedule.
