With one pledge so far, Michigan basketball can take its time filling up the remaining scholarships with long-term prospects. Here’s a prediction of what the 2021 class will look like.

Recruiting the right talent for your team takes time, preparation, patience, and a whole host of other things that a coach must possess to bring in the winning squad. Juwan Howard has all of that in droves. As a result of Howard’s recruiting prowess, Michigan basketball gathered plenty of first-rate recruits from the 2020 class, and the 2021 cycle is shaping up the same way.

Isaiah Barnes might be the only commitment thus far, but Juwan and Co. aren’t taking time off because they got one guy. There are three more scholarship spots to fill, and the Wolverines are directing their attention to some gifted high school kids.

Which ones will join Barnes? I make my predictions here:

Angelo Brizzi

There’s NBA range, and then there’s Steph Curry range. Angelo Brizzi has Steph Curry range, can jump over a forward for a dunk, and dish it to a teammate without his opponent noticing he no longer has the ball.

While the video above might be a highlight reel and not a complete game, it contains everything you need to know about Angelo Brizzi.

During his junior year, Angelo averaged 20.3 points, 6.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game and is the prototypical scoring guard that Juwan has been recruiting both with prospects and transfers.

Brizzi is a three-star (for now) according to 247 sports, ranked 128th nationally, the 19th best PG, and fourth from Virginia. Rivals has him at 116 overall and the 21st best point guard.
