Juwan Howard brought donuts and a top 15 class to Ann Arbor in his first year as the head coach of Michigan Basketball. What’s next? Here are three prospects to keep an eye on going forward.

Technology has shaped everyday life in some ways expected, and in other ways, it could never have been prophesied. COVID-19 has also transformed the lives of everyone across the world, and it’s caused colleges to adapt to a new normal. Coaches like Michigan basketball’s Juwan Howard have resorted to video conferences in an attempt to recruit young talent.

Conversations are no longer in-person campus visits intending to leave the visitor with a warm and fuzzy feeling about their potential collegiate destination; it’s all about being able to create a dialogue without the muse that is the Diag, or The Big House, or Crisler Center.

Recruits are, at some universities, provided with a virtual tour of the facilities; however, no photograph or drone video can accurately depict the vast expanse of Michigan stadium or the roaring crowds during a basketball game in the house that Cazzie built.

The tradition, emphasis on academics, and the enthusiasm unknown to mankind cannot be understood entirely sitting behind a 20-inch computer screen. Juwan is doing his best, however, and some of those efforts are paying off as several recruits have had positive messages about the university and the basketball program.

Here are three recruits high on the priority list for 2021.
