WR A.J. Henning

Michigan football is loaded with young talent at wide receiver thanks to the development of guys like Giles Jackson, Sainristil and Cornelius Johnson.

Those three guys, along with Nico Collins and Ronnie Bell, will all be pushing for playing time after each had some success last season. All three players scored touchdowns as freshmen and Jackson, for his part, scored rushing, receiving and returned a kickoff for a TD.

So truly, for Gattis, when it comes to wideouts, he has an abundance of resources and A.J. Henning, an impressive four-star freshman and the top recruit out of Illinois, will only add to that.

The 5-foot-10 receiver was Michigan’s top overall recruit in the 2020 class and while he might look like just a slot, Henning can line up all over the place. Certainly, Collins and Bell will be the top targets, but after that, Henning will be in the mix and like last year’s group, he will make some exciting plays in his first season.
