Michigan football got another crystal ball for key four-star target Drew Kendall, plus some other teams coming hard at 2022 commits of Wolverines.

While the Michigan football program suddenly lost momentum and the commitment of four-star tackle David Davidkov earlier this week, the Wolverines continue to look like the prohibitive favorite for four-star offensive guard Drew Kendall.

Kendall is ranked 118th nationally according to the 247 sports composite rankings and he’s the No. 6 guard in the 2021 class. According to 247 sports own rankings, he’s the No. 75 player overall, so it’d be a big time get if Michigan football can land him.

If you believe the recruiting experts at 247 sports, that’s exactly what will happen. Boston College was leading in the crystal ball race but in the past week or so, the Wolverines have picked up seven and now own 75 percent of the predictions, with the other 25 percent as foggy.

Michigan is also picking up another prediction from Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider ($), who had this to say about his projection:

"“Michigan has recruited Kendall harder than anybody in past weeks and it’s looking like it may be showing as the Wolverines have been trending on the Crystal Ball for a couple of weeks now.”"

That’s the good news for Michigan football on the recruiting front. But Thursday, the Wolverines got some not so good news as 2022 commit and four-star safety Myles Rowser decommitted.

Michigan football shouldn’t be out of the running yet for the top-200 prospect, since his brother, Andre Seldon, is going to be a freshman corner on the team this season.

However, with others school gaining ground such as Penn State, it’s going to take some more work, but if Seldon has a good experience at Michigan, it couldn’t hurt trying to get his brother back.

Also on the 2022 front, another Michigan commit, Alex Van Sumeren who was the first 2022 prospect to commit to the Wolverines, is also getting interest from other programs, such as Penn State, which is also pushing for Rowser.

Like Rowser, Van Sumeren is a top-200 prospect and both were solid building blocks. Hopefully, Michigan can avoid have Van Sumeren re-open his recruitment as Rowser just did.
