Mike Danna will prove himself at the next level

At a Michigan native, Mike Danna played high school ball just outside of Detroit at the Divison I football factory Warren De La Salle. He couldn’t quite get the stars and the recognition, so he settled at Central Michigan to begin his collegiate career.

But settling isn’t in Mike Danna’s DNA. He’s a fighter that can compete on any level. He challenges himself and works harder than what is expected of him. After four years at Central Michigan, where he put together an impressive resume of 151 tackles and 15 sacks, Danna decided he needed to step his game up – and his competition – so he headed to Ann Arbor as a graduate transfer, unsure as to his status as a starter on the team.

Eventually, Danna entered the rotation and finished the season with 38 tackles, and three sacks. He gave additional evidence to the NFL scouts that he is ready for any stage of competition.

And with the 177th overall pick in the fifth round, Mike was selected by the Kansas City Cheifs.

With the Chiefs, Mike will serve on special teams and second or third-string defense while he makes his way up to full-time starter.
