Two first-round picks

Most Michigan football fans are expecting to hear Ruiz get his name called and who knows, he could even be on the top 20 picks selected. It’s hard to say with interior offensive lineman, but he’s the best of the bunch and a guy you can plug and play right away.

I could see Ruiz winding up a few different places, but it’s hard to see him getting past New York if he falls that far. He is the kind of player you can build your offensive line around and some team will come away with a long-term fixture.

However, the question is whether or not Ruiz will be the only Michigan player selected Thursday?

My guess is no, he won’t. I see Josh Uche also going in the first round, possibly to a team like New England. Uche can pressure the quarterback, but he can also be a three-down linebacker.

The Patriots and many other NFL teams value guys who can put pressure on the quarterback, which Uche can do as well as anyone you can get near the end of the first round.
