Michigan basketball signed its 2020 recruiting class this week and here are some thoughts on the four-man class officially announced by the Wolverines.

It’s hard to imagine that it hasn’t even been a week since five-star recruit Josh Christopher spurned Michigan basketball for Arizona State and only five days since fellow five-star Isaiah Todd followed suit, de-committing from the Wolverines.

While those weren’t great days for Michigan basketball, the 2020 recruiting class, which was signed later in the week and announced by the Wolverines, is still very solid. With the addition of Jace Howard as a scholarship player, the Wolverines have the No. 8 class in 2020 according to 247 sports and the top-ranked group overall in the Big Ten.

So even though Juwan Howard failed to land a five-star in his first class, he still nabbed the top class in the conference and the best overall recruit in the Big Ten in four-star center Hunter Dickinson, who might be the best big man in a Wolverine uniform since Chris Webber.

Yet, this class features much more than just Dickinson and that’s something the four-star center hammered home in an interview he did with the Front Office on YouTube.

"“I mean, yeah, we lost two top-10 kids,” Dickinson said. “Isaiah, that was probably hard for a lot of Michigan fans because he was committed for so long. But I think Michigan fans need to realize that we’ve got a pretty good class and team. The class that we got coming in, me, Zeb (Jackson), (Terrance Williams) and Jace (Howard) are pretty good ourselves.”"

The kid summed it up pretty well, for more thoughts on the 2020 class and their potential impact next season, here ya go.
