Undergrad transfer: Jamal Bieniemy

A name to keep an eye on is former Oklahoma guard Jamal Bieniemy a former three-star guard who entered the transfer portal. He’s not going to be immediately eligible, unless the NCAA makes all players eligible for a one-time, immediate transfer, but either way, he could be a valuable guard to have on the roster next season or beyond.

Bieniemy will have two years of eligibility and while he struggled to shoot the ball at Oklahoma last season, he was one of the Sooners better defenders. He has started 47 games the past two season and shot 40 percent from beyond the arc as a freshman, but followed it up with a 25-percent season as a sophomore.

247 sports reported earlier this week that his suitors were unknown at this point, so if Howard and the Wolverines came calling, they might be able to make some headway and reel in a player good enough to be in the rotation this season or next.

And if Bieniemy happens to find his 3-point shot, he would be a likely starter in 2021-22, if not right away next season if he was eligible.
