What’s up next?

It’s understandable that fans will start looking at transfers and recruits, but unless David DeJulius pulls his name out of the transfer portal, I’m not sure there is anyone there that’s really going to make much of a difference. DJ Carton would be worth a look but he might not even be eligible next season.

Essentially, there is no one with Christopher’s ability or impact available. Time to give up that thought process entirely. Instead, there are three very real things Michigan basketball fans can think about.

The first is Isaiah Todd. The late signing period opens Wednesday and getting a signature from Todd is exactly what Michigan needs right now. Todd is 13th nationally in 2020 according to 247 sports and is the No. 2 power forward.

He’s not as refined as Christopher, but he has a huge upside and the ability to score one-on-one. He has a high ceiling and that gives Michigan hope next year if he comes to contend in the Big Ten and beyond.

The other questions have to do with Livers and Franz Wagner. If both of those guys come back and don’t go to the NBA, the Wolverines will still have some issues at the two, but they will also have plenty of NBA talent.
