Michigan football added a third four-star commitment along the offensive line Sunday and you have to wonder how many more the Wolverines will take.

Easter Sunday turned out to be a positive day for the Michigan football team as the Wolverines added another four-star recruit to the 2021 class.

Detroit Cass Tech product Raheem Anderson announced his commitment Sunday afternoon and it was something that advanced quickly. Anderson just announced his top list a little over a week ago and now he’s a Michigan football commit, so things can go quickly.

But in the larger context of the 2021 class, it’s worth taking a look at what that means going forward with the offensive line.

Anderson joins Greg Crippen, a fellow four-star that will play guard at Michigan according to Steve Lorenz of the Michigan Insider ($). Crippen was flipped from Notre Dame and there was some question about whether he would be a center or a guard.

But Lorenz reported he would be a guard and since Michigan is taking Anderson on as a center, that also appears to clear that up. So at this point, U-M has added a four-star tackle in Giovanni El-Hadi, a top-100 recruit and four-stars at guard and center.

That’s a pretty good haul when you consider all three guys are ranked 222nd or higher in the 247 sports composite rankings. Yet, Michigan football may not be done yet.

There are a few targets left on the O-line board and none is more important than four-star Rocco Spindler, a top-50 prospect nationally and one of the top players in Michigan. The Wolverines are battling Notre Dame for him, along with some others and it’s been a key priority.

If Michigan lands Spindler, the No. 2 guard nationally, it would be a huge get. It would probably also eliminate the need for someone like four-star guard Drew Kendall, who FaceTimed with Jim Harbaugh over the weekend according to The Michigan Insider ($).

The Wolverines have one crystal ball with Kendall, but the other three are with Boston College which appears to be the favorite.

While Michigan seems likely to add another guard, it looks like the Wolverines will add another tackle to the class too. El-Hadi is a really solid prospect but Garrett Dellinger, another in-state recruit that is ranked in the top-100 is another priority target.

Dellinger is a four-star recruit and the teammate of Spindler, but LSU looks like the team to beat as it holds all of his crystal ball projections. However, two names to watch at tackle are David Davidkov, a four-star O-lineman from Illinois that has four crystal balls pointing to the Wolverines.

Tristan Bounds is a three-star tackle that could also be a take if Michigan misses out on Dellinger and Davidkov. Ideally, Michigan would land Spindler and Davidkov and that would be a wrap for the 2021 class along the offensive line.
