Michigan basketball has a lot of uncertainty about the roster right now heading into next season, but we look into the future and project the starters.

There is no doubt that the Michigan basketball season ended unexpectedly, just like every college hoops team across the country.

It was a bummer to see the careers of Jon Teske and Zavier Simpson end without another trip to the NCAA tournament or even the Big Ten tournament. Simpson and Teske were the top two winners in the history of Michigan basketball and the chance at a fourth straight trip to the Sweet 16 was a real possibility.

But the reality is that Michigan basketball will have a new starting lineup next season. At the very least, there will be two new starters with Simpson and Teske graduating, but with a dynamic recruiting class coming in, there could be even more.

Much of this depends on a few guys and what they end up doing next season. Will Joshua Christopher and Isaiah Todd end up signing with Michigan? Will Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers return or go to the NBA? Will the Wolverines add or lose any players in the transfer market?

If Todd and Christopher both join the Wolverines, some other roster attrition will need to take place and while I think most players with eligibility will return, I do think there is at least 1-2 exists. Will that impact the starting five? Find out.
