Michigan Basketball: Was Joshua Christopher serious about commitment?
There was an interesting interaction on Twitter with Michigan basketball target Joshua Christopher, who indicated he could commit Monday.
You never really know what you can believe on Twitter, but Michigan basketball target Joshua Christopher appeared to indicate that he would be making his college decision known Monday.
It all started when Christopher tweeted something about how he should start a career as a professional bowler. Then on course, as fans often do, another user said he should commit to a college basketball team. That’s paraphrasing but essentially, that’s what was said.
Christopher responded to the tweet, with this: “Tmr, bro. I got you.”
Here’s the thread. This took place Sunday, and tomorrow would mean today (Monday). But is it legitimate? You be the judge.
What made it even more interesting is that Michigan basketball commit, Isaiah Todd, another five-star, said he was “excited.” So some might take that as a sign that Todd is actually going to sign with Michigan later this spring instead of playing overseas.

There has been speculation that Todd is looking at playing professionally before entering the NBA draft instead of playing in college. So his status has also been up in the air, along with Christopher, who has been trending with the Wolverines for weeks.
As of now, Michigan basketball holds 100 percent of crystal balls on 247 sports and it seems like a lock that Christopher, the 10th-ranked player in the 2020 class and one of the top shooting guards, will become a Wolverine.
When head coach Juwan Howard was able to get a commitment from Isaiah Todd, it was exciting as the five-star power forward ranks 13th nationally. However, Christopher is listed even higher in the 2021 rankings and not only is the No. 3 shooting guard but he’s a legit top-10 guy, something the Wolverines haven’t had in forever.
Getting both of them would be absolutely crazy, especially when Michigan already has commitments from Terrance Williams, Hunter Dickinson, Jace Howard and four-star guard Zeb Jackson, a holdover from John Beilein, who signed already.
There were reports that Christopher was going to decide soon, but most assumed that meant around April, which is when the next signing period opens up. But it has also felt like an open secret that he’s going to Michigan, so the sooner the better as far as I’m concerned.
