Michigan Basketball: How to watch, odds and predictions vs Nebraska
Michigan basketball will host Nebraska for senior night on Thursday in a must-win game for the Wolverines. Here’s how to watch, odds and predictions.
The Michigan basketball team hasn’t looked like itself the last two games, which were both losses at the hands of Wisconsin and Ohio State.
Overall, there is nothing to be ashamed about in either game. Both the Buckeyes and the Badgers are going to the NCAA tournament and the injury to Eli Brooks certainly didn’t help.
Yet, that wasn’t the only problem. In both games, Michigan basketball struggled to defend the 3-point line, while also having a tough time making perimeter shots.
However, those struggles pale in comparison to what Nebraska has gone through in the first season under new head coach Fred Hoiberg. The Huskers have battled and competed this season, but they have lost 14 straight games, including a tough one in overtime to Northwestern last weekend.
Nebraska is 7-22 overall and 2-16 in the Big Ten, which also makes it a game the Wolverines absolutely have to win. With eight quadrant-1 wins, Michigan basketball should be safe as far as making the NCAA tournament, but a win over the Huskers would really clinch it.
That would mean that Michigan avoids a really bad loss and would at worst, finish 10-10 in the Big Ten, the deepest, toughest college basketball conference in America.
Haanif Cheatam and Cam Mack, if he’s ready to go, are two names to watch. Michigan played at Nebraska and it was competitive before the Wolverines eventually pulled away.
Coming in as a 17-point favorite, Michigan should be able to cruise to a win. Not only do the Wolverines need it to keep their postseason resume looking sharp, but it’s Senior night for Jon Teske and Zavier Simpson and they need to go out with a win at Crisler.
Before making a final prediction, here’s how to watch, stream and all the key info.

Predictions:
As I said, it’s hard to see Michigan basketball losing this game. Nebraska isn’t a great team and while the Huskers will compete, as the Wolverines showed in Lincoln, even when they were short-handed, they are much more talented.
Michigan also needs this game way more. I believe the 3-point shot starts to fall again, plus Simpson and Teske go off and get standing ovations when they are pulled early.
Final score: Michigan 83, Nebraska 64
