Michigan basketball suffered a costly loss at home Thursday night to Wisconsin, but a win against Ohio State would be the perfect way to rebound.

Prior to the Michigan basketball team’s game against Wisconsin, the Wolverines were on a roll and it didn’t seem like anything was slowing them down.

But then, an injury to Eli Brooks forced Michigan basketball to play a different lineup and in a different way and it wasn’t all that effective against Wisconsin, which did, to its credit, played a brilliant game on the road.

Now, the Wolverines need to do the same thing Sunday against Ohio State, another team that’s headed to the NCAA tournament and looking to improve its seeding. The Buckeyes would also love to sweep the Wolverines after beating them at the Crisler Center earlier this season.

For Juwan Howard, he’s looking for his first win against Ohio State as head coach and it would be an important one. Michigan State is the top rival in basketball, but the Buckeyes aren’t far behind and one thing that made John Beilein such a legend at Michigan was his ability to beat both the Spartans and the Buckeyes.

It’s time for Howard to do the same. He did it as a player and now, the challenge is doing as a coach. You know it’s going to mean something for the seniors like Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske in particular.

It’s a huge Big Ten basketball game and here we go with three predictions.
