It will be a grind

When it comes to tempo, Wisconsin is ranked 342nd in the nation according to Kenpom, so that means the Badgers want to use clock and milk possessions. Against Michigan basketball, one of the top-scoring teams in the Big Ten, that makes a lot of sense.

Wisconsin will get the ball inside to Nate Reuvers, their leading scorer and Micah Potter, a big guy off the bench that can light it up from deep is another who will take a lot of shots.

The key for Michigan and both teams really will be getting stops and forcing turnovers. If the Wolverines can do that, they can get out and run a bit and that’s when all their shooters, such as Isaiah Livers and Franz Wagner are really dangerous.

But Wisconsin is a really solid defensive team and they are good at what they do. That doesn’t mean Michigan can’t win the game or won’t control it for stretches, but it’s not going to be easy and I doubt the scores get into the 70s.
