Austin Davis is one of them and his development has been spectacular and one of the true feathers in the cap of Howard. While the senior scored only three points against Purdue, he still made an impact on the defensive end as Trevion Williams and Matt Haarms scored just 22 points combined.
David DeJulius is another guy who has blossomed down the stretch. He scored six points Saturday, grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists. His ability to run the offense is getting better and better and you could easily see him as the starting point guard next season.
Brandon Johns is another key player off the bench. He didn’t shoot much and didn’t play well offensively, however, his size, rebounding, and overall athleticism has been essential on the defensive end.
The starting five might be as good as any in the Big Ten conference, but now, the bench is too.
