Each month, it seems, we receive new information regarding a recruit’s interest in the Wolverines, which requires updates to the predicted Michigan basketball starting roster for next season. Here it is.

Michigan basketball has a problem, and that problem is there are too many high school basketball stars that want to become Michigan men, and there are not enough scholarships to get them all to Ann Arbor.

Presently, UM is over their allotment and no one can be sure what the plan is within the organization to fix the issue.

Maybe coach Juwan Howard doesn’t have a plan as of yet. That might be the smart move considering he’ll likely have to dispatch one or two of those on the roster to the transfer portal. If he does have a strategy, he’s keeping it close to the vest, leaving those around Michigan nation speculating what it could be.

Release this guy, don’t allow the fifth year for that guy, or this commit might end up in Europe.

The only certainty that can be observed is the staff is not done on the recruiting trail. We knew the Wolverines were trending with Joshua Christopher, but it appears the hunt for Greg Brown, the No. 1 PF and No. 9 overall basketball star for 2020, has heated up and the recent remarks from Greg Brown Sr. have insiders wondering just how many top recruits Juwan will end up with.

For this article, I’m going to assume the predictions are correct with Christopher and Greg Brown heads to A². Here’s a look at the starting five and two deep.
