Michigan Basketball: 3 predictions for Wolverines against Indiana
Who wins?
As bad as things were just a few weeks ago, things have gone completely turned around and in the last two games especially, Michigan has looked like the team that won the Battle 4 Atlantis and appeared as a legit Big Ten contender.
The injury to Livers cost Michigan a chance at contending in the Big Ten, however, this team still seems poised to make a run and finish the season strong. If the defense plays the way it has, this team will be hard to beat, because offensively, the Wolverines are getting harder to stop.
The recent struggles of Jon Teske notwithstanding, Livers getting back in the lineup, Brooks getting hot and Austin Davis dominating down low have all helped this offense find itself.
And crazy enough, with Davis, Michigan has a legit force on the block. His improvement has been nothing short of extraordinary. In about 10 minutes per game and just three shot attempts, Davis is averaging 4.9 points and is shooting 72.5 percent from the field. Yes, 72.5 percent.
Basically, Davis has been unstoppable and his spark off the bench has been huge. With Trayce Jackson-Davis, Justin Smith and Devonte Green, Indiana has plenty of talent and three double-digit scorers. However, Michigan is deeper and right now, it’s playing better.
Final score: Michigan 73, Indiana 64
