Michigan Basketball: How to watch, odds, storylines vs Ohio State
Michigan basketball will host arch-rival Ohio State Tuesday night for a key matchup and here’s how to watch, as well as odds and key storylines.
Michigan basketball was in desperate need of a win over Rutgers last Saturday and thankfully, the Wolverines got it. But all that progress could go right down the tubes Tuesday night as U-M takes on Ohio State.
Like Michigan, Ohio State started the year off strong, then had some struggles. The Buckeyes recently lost six of seven games before rebounding to beat Northwestern and Indiana last week.
Suddenly, both Michigan and Ohio State have won two in a row as the teams get set for a huge matchup in the Big Ten conference. Both teams need to strengthen their resume and for the Wolverines, it’s a chance to get one final win at home against the Buckeyes.

The rivalry may not be as heated on the basketball court as on the football field, but for the Wolverines, it’s especially important. They have controlled it in recent years and it would be awful to see the Buckeyes once again get the upper hand.
In the last meeting, last season, Michigan won 65-49. This time around, both teams could be without key guys as Isaiah Livers seems destined to miss for U-M, as well as D.J. Carton who has been away from the team. There are no indications he could play.
As of now, the Wolverines are 2.5-point favorites going in, which seems about right. Both teams are ranked in the top-25 of the Kenpom rankings, with Michigan basketball at 25th and Ohio State 12th. Winning on the road has been really tough in the Big Ten this season, which makes the Wolverines last two wins, both away from Crisler, look even better.
This will be Juwan Howard‘s first go-around as a coach in this rivalry, but he knows what it means as a player and simply put, for the Wolverines, it is a must-win game. Here’s how to watch and all the key info:
