Michigan basketball has a challenging game at Madison Square Garden Saturday against Rutgers and here’s how to watch, odds and three predictions.

It’s somewhat amazing that as Michigan basketball heads to Madison Square Garden to face Rutgers, it’s a huge game and not just for the Wolverines, for both teams.

In fact, it’s the Scarlet Knights that come into this matchup ranked, as the No. 25 team and just one out of first place in the Big Ten. Conversely, Michigan basketball is 3-6 in the league and has lost four of five games.

Steve Pikiell has Rutgers at 16-5 overall and 7-3 in the Big Ten. Michigan, on the other hand, is 12-8 after a hot start and 3-6 in the league after star player Isaiah Livers missed five games due to injury.

Last Tuesday, the Wolverines found a way to win on the road at Nebraska, which gave the team’s tournament hopes a boost. A win Saturday would do even more. However, this is technically a home game for Michigan basketball and in years past, beating Rutgers was much easier.

Now, it’s not that way and this should feel more like a road game than expected. We have some predictions on tap, but first, here how to watch and odds:
