Secondary

Starters: CB Ambry Thomas, CB Vincent Gray, S Daxton Hill, S Brad Hawkins, CB: Andre Seldon; Backups: CB DJ Turner, CB Jalen Perry, CB Gemon Green, S Sammy Faustin, Jordan Morant

If you notice, there are a couple of true freshmen on this list and that reflects my excitement about the prospects of four-star corner Andre Seldon, as well as some depth issues in the secondary, particularly at safety.

However, with the 2020 class, those depth issues should be alleviated. The problem is just going to be a lack of experience. Jordan Morant is just one safety that could contribute early but Makari Paige is another name to watch. Darion Green-Warren is a freshman corner to keep an eye on too.

Seldon is short but he’s dynamic and he seems like a perfect fit in the slot covering the quick receivers Michigan has struggled to cover in recent years.

Outside of that nickel spot, the starters seem pretty set in stone. Ambry Thomas and Vincent Gray should take one spot with Dax Hill and Hawkins starting at safety. It’s a strong group with if Seldon can make an early impact, it could be really strong.
