#3: 03/03/2013 – Trey Burke’s Last-Minute Steals Against Michigan State

For the first time in quite some time, Michigan basketball regained its title as a powerhouse program.

Burke had hundreds of moments during his two seasons with Michigan, and one of those moments will forever be engraved within the minds of Spartan fans, and arguably, this was his “John Wooden Award” moment.

With No. 9 Michigan State and the No. 4 Wolverines at a tie, MSU had the opportunity to take the lead, and potentially, pull off the upset against their arch-rivals.

Luckily for Michigan basketball, Burke had other plans in mind.

With 20 seconds left in regulation, Burke stripped Keith Appling and slammed it down to abruptly take the lead.

Burke wasn’t done there.

The Spartans had one more opportunity to either tie or win the game, however, Burke stole the show and picked off the pass, sealing the Michigan victory, once and for all.

He was a special player.
