Pritchard’s The Epitome Of A Gamer

Payton Pritchard showed the world why he is one of the top college players in the nation on Saturday. Dana Altman leans on his point guard and he proved him right again. He led his team with 23 and the eventual game-winner in overtime. With this guy on the floor, Oregon will have a great shot at winning the Pac-12.

Pritchard shot 58% from the floor and is shooting 50% for the year. In the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, his team lost by a combined five points. In those two loses Pritchard single-handedly put the Ducks in a position to win and now Michigan fans can see why. When all is said and done don’t be surprised if Pritchard is in the player of the year discussion.

Zavier Simpson will have more tests like this in the Big Ten. For Michigan to win though, Simpson will need to outduel his counterparts. When he is on, Michigan is almost impossible to beat. The senior captain had a chance to redeem himself with a game-winning shot, but it didn’t fall. There’s no doubt the experienced point will bounce back with his past track record.
