Michigan Basketball: How to watch and stream the Wolverines vs Iowa
Michigan basketball looks to rebound against Iowa tonight in the Big Ten opener. Here’s how to watch and stream.
The schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Michigan basketball team Friday night as the Wolverines will return to the floor at the Crisler Center for the Big Ten opener vs Iowa.
While Michigan basketball will come into the game ranked No. 4, despite the loss to Louisville, Iowa is unranked and didn’t get any votes in the AP Poll this past week, even though the Hawkeyes already have wins over Texas Tech and San Diego State.
Both teams will make their initial foray into Big Ten play tonight and Michigan will follow it up with a game at Illinois Wednesday before finishing out the rest of the non-conference schedule.
For the Wolverines, this game is about two things: re-gaining momentum and also establishing themselves as a contender in the Big Ten.
After notching three straight wins last week, including victories over North Carolina and Gonzaga, the last thing Michigan basketball wants to do is lose two straight games. We will breakdown the matchup more, but before we get to that, here’s how to watch, stream and listen:

Breakdown
Much like in football, Michigan basketball has struggled with Iowa over the years, but most of those struggles have come on the road, where the Hawkeyes defeated the Wolverines last season.
Yet, on a neutral floor, at the Big Ten tournament in 2019, Michigan controlled the game and playing the game at home should give the Wolverines an advantage.
While Juwan Howard has only coached three games at home, this team has always played better in front of the Maize Rage and the team should be fired up for the home opener after a rough showing Tuesday night.
The other interesting thing is this will be the first test of adversity for U-M under Howard after everything was all roses in the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. Fran McCaffrey is one of the better coaches in the Big Ten and big man Luka Garza, a guy who averages 20 points and 10 rebounds won’t make beating Iowa a cakewalk.
We did put forth our predictions for the matchup, so check those out here and tune in tonight for the first taste of Big Ten basketball in 2019-20.
