Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Indiana
Patterson plays a turnover-free game
After opening the season with a turnover in each of the first five games of the season, Shea Patterson has done a much better job of protecting the football in recent weeks.
It’s also not a shock to learn that Michigan football is 4-0 this season when Patterson avoids a turnover and in the last three weeks, he has zero interceptions compared to seven touchdown passes.
Shea hasn’t always been spectacular this season, but down the stretch, he’s been accurate, made plays with his feet and simply not made mistakes. That along with a stellar defense and a solid running game has given Michigan football a winning formula.
Keeping it going at Indiana will be easier said than done, however, the Hoosiers have only nabbed three interceptions all season long. They also don’t pressure the quarterback much, getting just 23 sacks in 10 games compared to 32 for the Wolverines.
If those things hold up and Indiana can’t turnover Patterson or put much pressure on him, Michigan should have success. But if there are giveaways, it’s the perfect recipe for a close game or even an upset.
