Has Michigan finally found a kicking solution?

One of the things Michigan football needed to figure out during its bye week was who would kick field goals down the stretch and Saturday against Michigan State, it was Quinn Nordin, who went 3-for-3 and appeared to lock down the position.

It’s nothing against Jake Moody, but Nordin was also the best option. He has a stronger leg and he was one of the top kickers in the country. Consistency has been his issue. Kicking is sometimes like putting in golf. You get the yips and it gets in your head.

Well, by putting three field goals through the uprights yesterday and not missing an extra point, Nordin has to have some confidence and that means Michigan football should stick with him.

Having two kickers is like two quarterbacks, it means you don’t have one and not knowing who you are going to send out for a game-winner is a bad idea. So hopefully, it’s sorted out and as long as Nordin keeps kicking well, it should be.
