Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from Wolverines domination of MSU

Shea’s Performance For The Ages
It took a while for the Michigan offense to kick in this season, but they have been hitting their strides ever since the second half of the Penn State contest. Since that moment Michigan has outscored its opponents by nearly 100 points. A major reason why is because it has all started to click for Shea Patterson.
Patterson finished the day with a record 384 yards passing versus the Spartans. He also did not turn the ball over once, which has lately become more routine of him. He took his team on his back and never let them down. These are the type of things that get talked about in a rivalry like this one for years to come.
Patterson even stated afterward that “he wishes he could have started his career at Michigan so he could have two more shots at Michigan State”. After today, nobody can disagree with that statement. He can now live the rest of his life knowing that he, personally, went 2-0 when matching up with the Spartans during his short tenure in Ann Arbor.
