Michigan football notched a huge win over Notre Dame a week ago and Saturday, the Wolverines will try to keep that momentum going against Maryland.

All it took for the Michigan football team to build some momentum was one big win over Notre Dame, a 45-14 drubbing to be exact.

Suddenly, with that dominating performance, the narrative has shifted. It started with the rally at Penn State and after beating down the Fighting Irish for four quarters, people seem to believe in Michigan football again.

This week, the Wolverines head to Big Ten East rival Maryland, a team that Michigan has owned under Jim Harbaugh with four consecutive wins and not a single game decided by single digits.

Harbaugh will look to continue that success against Maryland under the direction of new head coach Mike Locksley. He was the offensive coordinator last year at Alabama and worked alongside Josh Gattis.

Now, the two have had a bit of a falling out. Gattis was supposedly going to go to Maryland to be the offensive coordinator, but instead, took the job on Harbaugh’s staff.

Things didn’t go well at the start of the season, but the running game has been working and the offense seems to have finally found its identity.

But this week will be another key test. Maryland is just 3-5, however, the Terps have had their moments this season. If Michigan is going to be a good team, it needs to dominate games like this and with that in mind, here are five predictions.
