Michigan football has suffered some difficult defeats during the Jim Harbaugh era and on Halloween, here is a look at three losses that are most haunting.

It’s year five of the Jim Harbaugh era at Michigan football and during that time, there have been ups and downs.

Harbaugh has brought Michigan football back to respectability and more than once, he has had the Wolverines in the thick of the playoff conversation and the Big Ten title race.

However, the Wolverines haven’t been able to get over the hump. The program came excruciatingly close to reaching the promised land back in 2016, however, they ended up just inches short.

While there has been plenty of success, there has also been a lot of heartaches too. The struggles against top-10 teams have been well documented as well as the 0-4 record against Ohio State.

Until just last Saturday, Harbaugh was also 0-1 against Notre Dame and hadn’t beaten a top-10 team since back in 2016. So it’s safe to say the win over Notre Dame was much needed. It also set the stage for Michigan to possibly run the table and salvage the 2019 season, which started with such high expectations.

Yet, with it being Halloween, it seemed like a good time to take a look back at some of the losses that will haunt Michigan football fans the most from the Harbaugh era.

The old saying on this day is “trick or treat” and we have chosen the tricky part as we look at three frightening losses.
