Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from Penn State heartbreaker

Still A Lot To Play For
Michigan’s goals for the season are now dashed thanks to the PSU loss. It has to find a new motivation on attempting to win out this year. Luckily for the Wolverines, the schedule provides just that for them. They can get payback on the Irish, beat Sparty again, and try to end a long drought with OSU coming to town.
It is not going to be easy, but anything can occur. That was proven the last two weeks in college football with South Carolina and Illinois respectively. That’s motivation enough for a coach who is in dire need of a major change in perception of how his school is viewed in must-win ballgames.
A similar gameplan to Penn State of ball control should be the course for the Irish. Notre Dame’s offense and defense is ranked top 15 nationally.
That makes them a balanced bunch that will be difficult to handle. The maize and blue know they must bring their “A” game if they expect to topple the Irish and do the same for what is currently staring them right in the face.
