Turnovers Plague Offense Again

It seems as though the turnover jinx is going to rear its ugly head all season long. The offense coughed it up with two more giveaways today to gift the Illini opportunities to charge back into it. That’s a recipe for losing with the schedule that is now directly in front of the maize and blue.

The third period was a forgetful one for the entire club. It’s when the turnovers occurred and that gave the Illini the breaks they needed to get close. Michigan’s stranglehold on the big lead was all but gone and it gave the Illini the shots it desired to get close. It had the Michigan football faithful going ballistic on social media and a gigantic meltdown seemed inevitable.

Michigan then decided to finally put the clamps down on in the fourth. It forced two takeaways which ultimately put the matchup on the rocks. Don Brown’s defense sucked it up, which in turn handed the offense all it needed to do to put the game on ice. It was a sight that silenced the doubters for at least seven more days.
