Waiting for the big impact play from Dax Hill

One of the most well-received news items surrounding Michigan football this week was the fact that Daxton Hill has now moved into the No. 1 spot at nickel corner.

Harbaugh announced the move earlier this week and it makes perfect sense. Not only is Hill a dynamic athlete and one of the fastest players on the team, but he’s versatile, can tackle and is one of the Wolverines better defenders.

But now that Hill is going to see more regular snaps on defense, it would be nice to see an impact play or two from the five-star freshman.

To be fair, Hill flashed his quickness against Army, when he helped convert a fake punt with a nice catch-and-run. He also made a highlight-reel tackle against Rutgers on special teams, as well as a tackle for loss.

But Saturday, it would be great to see Hill get his hands on the football, making an interception or a game-changing play. Whether those impact plays come on offense or defense, the Wolverines need more of them and Hill is one of the guys that can deliver them.
