Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Rutgers

The play of the wide receivers and getting Peoples-Jones back healthy is a big deal. Those guys should be able to carry the offense and getting DPJ back can’t be understated.

I know that these predictions seem very optimistic and I am taking a leap of faith. I just have to believe that this team will get it together for at least one Saturday.

If the Wolverines play anywhere close to their best, they should win this game by 40. The talent difference is immense and when you add in how motivated Michigan should be, Rutgers should be in for a rough day.

I’d give the Scarlet Knights about a one-percent chance of winning. However, this is still a fascinating game. What Michigan team will we see Saturday?

If it’s one that is still sleepwalking and going through the motions, it will struggle with Rutgers and if that happens, it will really be time to panic.

Yet, I expect we will see a motivated Michigan squad and even though beating Rutgers 48-10 won’t impress anyone, that’s my prediction and for one Saturday at least, we can just enjoy a win.
