Don Brown’s unit will wake up

One of the most surprising things about the way Michigan football lost at Wisconsin was the lack of resistance put forth by the defense.

Jonathan Taylor is a special player and it wasn’t going to be shocking to see him have a great day. But to rush for his highest total in three games against the Wolverines by the end of the first quarter was ridiculous.

Michigan offered little resistance and it didn’t have any answers. Plain and simple, Michigan should never get bullied by Wisconsin, not with all the talented players it has all over the field.

The problem is the defense just wasn’t ready and that’s a big problem. It was understandable when Ohio State threw all over the Wolverines with their speed and elite quarterback. But Wisconsin was supposed to be a good matchup and to just get run over is why I have said Don Brown needs to go.

In the end, I still believe that’s true. But in the past, his defenses have owned teams like Rutgers and his group should be very motivated this week. I think he will be aggressive and guys like Khaleke Hudson will follow that lead. It will be a good day but it won’t answer any long-term questions.
