The offensive line will get going

Outside of the quarterbacks, much of the blame for the offensive woes can be laid at the feet of the offensive line, which was supposed to be a strength for the Wolverines heading into 2019.

Obviously, injuries have been an issue with left tackle Jon Runyan Jr. missing the first two games and struggling in his first start at Wisconsin. Yet, after earning All-Big Ten honors last season, Runyan has to turn things around and I’d expect to see that Saturday.

It’s hard to know if we will see Zach Charbonnet, Christian Turner or Tru Wilson at running back, but whoever it is, the offensive line should be able to have a field day against a Rutgers defense that allows 218 yards per game and is last in the Big Ten. To be fair UM ranks 13th after the Wisconsin disaster.

The Wolverines have averaged just 3.5 yards per rush this season and at home, against a defense that allows just under five yards per attempt, it has to get things going, otherwise, there are major issues.
